On the 15th of May 2021, IAYSP Switzerland’s committee collaborated with Universal Peace Federation Switzerland in the organization and moderation of the Ambassadors for Peace Training, given in English with French translation. The whole training was hosted by Chantal Chételat Komagata, Secretary-General of UPF Switzerland. The total amount of participants was around 40 people.

The program was divided into 12 sessions and touched on multiple subjects related to peace, such as the origin of conflicts, the purpose of life, the sake of living for others, and the foundations for sustainable peace and happiness. Every two sessions, the participants were divided into small groups of 3-4 people to answer the questions at hand, share their experiences and beliefs, and expand their point of view. This training gave the opportunity to the participants to learn about many universal values through religious teachings and scientific statements, with peace as our standing primary focus.

Twenty participants received the Ambassador for Peace certificate at the end of the formation. Moreover, Michel Reymond (from UPF-Switzerland) and two ambassadors, including Prof. Shabani, were interviewed by a Kosovo’s TV channel about the training.

Feedbacks and comments from the participants:

“Very grateful that we had the chance to attend this training. Thank you for investing time to train us to become Ambassadors for peace. We are very, very grateful!”

“I really want to thank you for the opportunity to get to know so many people from different cultures. The theme was really interesting, and we need to discuss more about those important topics. It is really important that we keep in mind what is essential and share it with each other. We need to cherish and protect families, and as you said, humanity is a big family that is connected with a common heart. So peace is connected to common values and goals. I am happy I could share a lot, and I hope this is only the beginning. I hope we have more opportunities to share with each other and hopefully the whole world. Thank you for the invitation and for organizing this peace webinar with many international participants.”

Ambassador Professor Shabani:

“It was a great experience to take part in this event, and I would like to thank you so so much.”

“I am teaching my colleagues in the hospital to be patient, tolerant and to live for the sake of others! We have a lot to learn from you Chantal Komagata!”

“I really feel motivated to go forward. We will do the best we can. I really want to thank you all for this great training and I really hope we get to meet each other soon in person.”
