Some passages read and opinions from the participants are presented here:

“To God belong the East and the West;

wherever you turn, there is the Face of God;

God is All-embracing, All-knowing.”

Qur’an 2.115

“God knows wherever we are, also he is forgiving to anybody and he knows everything.”

“You know when I sit down and when I rise up;

you discern my thoughts from afar.

You search out my path and my lying down,

and you are acquainted with all my ways.”

Psalm 139.2-3

“What’s different in this passage is that God knows the thoughts of somebody. That’s why Jesus said that even watching the wife of somebody else and having some thoughts about her is already committing a sin.”

“God is guiding King David.”

“If I feel ashamed doing something, I know it’s not right. It’s based on the level of development of the conscience.”

“In The Book of Songs it is said,

‘In your secret chamber even you are judged;

See you do nothing to blush for,

Though but the ceiling looks down upon you.’

Therefore the moral man, even when he is not doing anything, is serious; and, even when he does not speak, is truthful.”

Doctrine of the Mean 33 (Confucianism)

“The moral man is constantly behaving in a good way. Believing that God is always watching us, it helps us to behave in a good way.”

“Mark well three things and you will not fall into the clutches of sin: know what is above you—an eye that sees, an ear that hears, and all your actions recorded in the book.”

Mishnah, Avot 2.1 (Judaism)

“God is present everywhere and everything we do, is seen, heard by Him and is recorded. We cannot erase the past. That helps to behave in a good way.”

“The great Ruler of all these worlds,

beholds as if from near at hand

the man who thinks he acts by stealth:

the Gods know all this of him.

When one stands or walks or moves in secret,

or goes to his lying down or uprising,

when two sitting together take secret counsel,

King Varuna knows, being there the Third…

If one will go away beyond the heavens,

still he cannot escape King Varuna; his envoys move about here from the heavens,

and, thousand-eyed, they look upon the earth.

King Varuna observes all that which lies

between heaven and earth and beyond them;

the twinklings of men’s eyes have been counted by him;

as a dicer the dice, He measures everything.”

Atharva Veda 4.16.1-8 (Hinduism)

“This King Varuna sees also everything like God. The dice is an image that we never know what’s going to happen. He observes.”

“You who dive down as if under water to steal,

Though no earthly king may have seen you,

The King of heaven sees.”

Yoruba Proverb (African Traditional Religions)

“Dive down under the water is doing something in secret, not willing somebody to see us. Another human being might not see us but whatever we do, God knows.”

“When God looks at a person, He sees the person’s mind. He sees his past, his present, and based on that He sees his future.”

(100:93, October 8, 1978, Sun Myung Moon)

“God looks through us and independent to what we do or who we are, He sees the actions we will take. He will support us in the challenges we will face.”

“God knows us better that we do. He knows our limits and what challenges we can overcome.”

“In physics, by watching something stable, not moving, I can predict how that object will behave when I perturb it.”

“God transcends time, and He has no regard for your 24-hour timeframe. God does not sleep. Apply this principle in your activities, and you will develop without limit.”

(94:282-83, October 9, 1977, Sun Myung Moon)

“We are human beings and unfortunately we need sleep...”

“It’s like Nicholas of Flüe, who felt a calling from God and left his family after receiving the permission from his wife and his children. He fasted for 20 years.”

“God’s mind is not only in His Word, but also in everything He created. For this reason, God exists everywhere. Truly, He is omnipresent.”

(8:182, December 13, 1959, Sun Myung Moon)

“When we are in the nature, we feel very peaceful and we can feel God’s presence.”

“You have a mind. Mind is invisible, and may not appear to exist; yet it exists. Where is your mind? Is it in your head or in your heart? In truth, your mind extends throughout every part of your body. Likewise, this world is like God’s body, and He is present everywhere in the world. Yet [like mind], you cannot see God.”

(89:72, July 11, 1976, Sun Myung Moon)

“The mind is in every cell; sometimes we can have the experience to feel something in all the body and then having goose bumps. When mind/spirit and body are united, we can feel united with God.”

“God’s love is more than enough to embrace the universe. God’s love is at the center of everything. God as the central being of love maintains the great foundation. When God moves, everything moves with Him, even the smallest things. Everything is contained within one great circle. Thus does God embrace the whole world, the entire universe.”

(205:33, July 7, 1990, Sun Myung Moon)

“With God’s love, we can be connected to everybody/everything and we can know everything. It breaks down all the barriers. God is the infinitely small and infinitely big.”

“If God did not exist, the universe would feel completely empty. But because God exists, the universe feels completely full. Why? Because there is love. Hence, even when we are alone, because we know God, we feel the universe’s fullness. We feel God in every place. Hence, within love we can know the deep inspiration that comes from God’s omnipresence. But if we did not know God, we would feel an all-pervading emptiness, as if nothing existed.”

(91:323, March 1, 1977, Sun Myung Moon)

“The last sentence is something I experienced before knowing God. When I was young, I had everything material I needed but I was feeling empty inside of myself. If a person is depressed and doesn’t have God, this person cannot feel the love and beauty of God in the creation. It’s like a pot that is closed; pouring water in it, the water will flow away and the water inside will putrefy.”

“Believing is a mixture of feeling and understanding with the brain. It makes sense to the brain and the heart.”

“How do you experience God’s omnipresence? Feel the air as the breath from God’s mouth. Feel a typhoon as God blowing His nose. Feel the stream as God’s sweat pouring out from going through the suffering course of restoration for the sake of the world. Learn the love of God from the sun, which symbolizes the elements of life throughout the cosmos. Nature is a textbook for experiencing God’s heart, a textbook for the happiness of His beloved children. Speak to the plants; feel that their leaves are as your children; you are not crazy. You are close to being a saint.”

(59:102-03, July 9, 1972, Sun Myung Moon)

“God is in all of our senses. God is everywhere in the nature. Looking at it,, we can feel God and His love. We can then be grateful and happy. Talking to nature is like talking to God. We can also feel like talking to God when talking to a baby.”

“Consider that our Father is the living God, who watches over us from the beginning to the end of our life. He foresees our life in the eternal spirit world, as well as our present life on earth. When He looks at you spiritually, what do you think He sees?”

(118:38, May 2, 1982, Sun Myung Moon)

“That’s interesting that God can also foresee our lives in the spirit world. God sees the potential in each one of us. Each human being is different and each one is a different aspect of God.”
